The Dungog cinema generally operates Friday nights, Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons/nights, and runs full-time through school holidays.  

The cinema, known as the James Theatre, is located at 6 Brown Street in Dungog, NSW Australia, and is the oldest still running purpose-built cinema in Australia!  It is the centre of activities during the highly acclaimed Dungog Film Festival, which is held annually in autumn and is a non-competitive showcase of new and old Australian features and shorts.
